For the last Monday of July before the trade deadline, there is still a lot of MLB DFS action end of July. This Monday’s 12-game slate kicks off your afternoon games with style. July is ending strongly for fantasy players and it could have an impact on today’s cash prizes.
One of Monday’s feature games for today’s MLB DFS pools is the Seattle Mariners going to Boston to face the Red Sox. Another game to watch for fantasy players is the New York Mets and Minnesota Twins.
The MLB trade deadline is close, and so will be the fantasy action to end the month with a bang.
July 29th MLB DFS Best Starts

To start your new week of MLB DFS fantasy right, Cal Raleigh is your man. In the win against the White Sox, Cal Raleigh went 2-5 with a home run at Chicago.
With the offense back in motion, Raleigh could have a solid game. Seattle after beating the Mariners could help Raleigh. Fantasy players could see Raleigh have a home run today.
OF J.D. Martinez, Minnesota Twins at. New York Mets ($4,900 – DraftKings/3,000-Fanduel)
Another player that could get hot on this Monday night, is the New York Mets, J.D. Martinez. In the loss against the Braves, yesterday, Martinez did not play and went 0-4 in the loss Saturday.
J.D. Martinez has been sluggish but could have a great game tonight. Fantasy players could see Martinez, hit a home run during tonight’s game.
3B Nolan Arenado, Texas Rangers at. St. Louis Cardinals ($4,100 – DraftKings/2,700-Fanduel)
The last player to have to start in your fantasy pools tonight is Nolan Arenado. In the walk-off win against the Nationals, Nolan Arenado went 0-4. Nolan Arenado while his numbers are low, are still solid.
This season for the Cardinals has been inconsistent, but Arenado is still a solid player. Fantasy players should expect a multi-hit game from the Cardinals, star.
July 29th MLB DFS Sits
SS Willi Castro, Minnesota Twins at. New York Mets ($4,700 – DraftKings/3,500-Fanduel)
To start the benching of today’s MLB DFS fantasy pools, Willi Castro should not start. In the win against the Tigers, Castro went 3-4 with a walk for the win. Even with a win, Castro was not effective for fantasy players.
While the Twins are doing well today, they are facing a decent staff. Willi Castro could have a long night for fantasy players for tonight’s game.
2B Marcus Semien, Texas Rangers at. St. Louis Cardinals ($4,900 – DraftKings/3,400-Fanduel)
Another benching for fantasy pools, today is the Texas Ranger’s, Marcus Semien. Semien in the loss against the Blue Jays, went 1-5 during the loss. Semien has been struggling this season and could have a bad game tonight.
Even against a weak Cardinals team, the Rangers have struggled against weaker teams this season. Fantasy players could have a long night if they start Marcus Semien.
OF Corbin Carroll, Washington Nationals at. Arizona Diamondbacks ($5,000 – DraftKings/3,100-Fanduel)
The last player to have on the bench for fantasy pools tonight is the Arizona Diamondbacks Corbin Carroll. In the extra innings loss, he went 1-5 with two strikeouts during the loss.
While the Nationals are a weak team, Carroll has struggled this season. Fantasy players should avoid the D’Backs outfielder at all costs. Even with improving stats, it is an MLB DFS risk that could backfire horribly.
July 29th MLB DFS Best Stack
Today’s MLB DFS stack will be the Atlanta Braves, Marcell Ozuna, Eddie Rosario, and Matt Olson. Atlanta after winning two in a row has given the lineup confidence. Marcell Ozuna had homered against the Mets on Saturday and could homer again today.
Along with Ozuna, Matt Olson’s home run yesterday gives him confidence. Atlanta also has the underrated Eddie Rosario and his power. Fantasy players could have a strong game today with this MLB DFS stack.
