Russell Wilson played in 15 games last year with the Broncos, passing for 3,070 yards with a 66.4 passing completion, for 26 touchdowns. The fantasy stats for Wilson were decent for the Broncos, despite a chaotic Broncos season. With the trade to a new team, Wilson’s fantasy projections could take a hit for 2024.

For fantasy owners in 2023, Wilson got 256.9 fantasy points, averaging 17.1 per game. Wilson for 2024 could have a weaker fantasy season with the Steelers despite the offensive line, due to Arthur Smith’s offensive game plan. It will be dependent on the run game with play-action for Russ.

Russell Wilson Fantasy Outlook For 2024

Wilson is coming off a decent season with the Broncos and got traded to the Steelers in a power move. In what could be a comeback season, the Steelers could be the team where Wilson could do well this season. While his abilities have regressed in the last two seasons, he could do well in the Arthur Smith system.

According to Fantasy Pros, Russell Wilson is the 23rd quarterback in mock fantasy drafts. Wilson in both Full PPR and Half PPR in Fantasy Pros could be a late fifth-round pick. While fantasy players are worried about Wilson’s past season statistics, the offensive scheme could do well for Russell Wilson fantasy outlook.

Entering 2024, Russ’ fantasy outlook could accumulate 1,500-2,000 passing yards, and 15 touchdowns, with a 66 passing completion. Wilson is projected as a late fifth-round mock draft pick in season-long and full PPR leagues. Wilson’s fantasy outlook could be weak for players after last season but could go well for Chef Russ.

Final Thoughts

Wilson was decent last year but couldn’t do it all in Denver. The situation he was in was unhealthy and the contract he had made it completely worse. Pittsburgh could be the right place, and he could make a comeback for the league and fantasy players. While his potential numbers could be low, he could win games for fantasy players.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be a run-heavy team with Jarren Warren and Najee Harris but could have play-action passing. Pittsburgh also has a strong receiver room with George Pickens and others for the offense. With the Steelers not relying much on his performance, Wilson’s fantasy outlook could have a surprise comeback for fantasy players in 2024.
