Thousands of drafts happen every year, and yearly, thousands of people leave those drafts with rosters that underperform. Most years, the first three rounds of drafts aren’t what decides who wins, or who loses your league.
What happens between rounds 7-13 matters the most. If you can nail filling out the depth of your roster, you can secure your league. Preparedness goes a long way in making sure you have a great fantasy year. Below are three middle-round guys that will help you lock down first place this year!
Keon Coleman

This one may surprise some people with him being a rookie, but Keon Coleman has the perfect situation to make him a league winner.
Elite quarterback, and with Stefon Diggs being gone (160 targets in ‘23) an opening at the top of the depth chart. Josh Allen loves to throw to his number one receiver; while in Buffalo Diggs averaged 161 targets per season. So if Coleman only gets 75% of the targets that Diggs received, he will still finish the season with 120 targets which is a hefty number for a pick in the middle of your draft.
At his ADP of 94.1, he’s a projected 10th-round pick in 10-team leagues and ninth-round pick in 12-team leagues. Grabbing a wide receiver one with an elite quarterback in the eighth round almost seems unrealistic. Don’t let this one slip through your fingers and leave you wishing that you would’ve nabbed him up.
Chris Godwin
In four of the past five seasons, Godwin has finished with over 80 catches and 1, 000 receiving yards. He finished as the WR 29 (Sleeper) in 2023. Averaging 12.3 points per game made him a reliable flex option each and every week.
Going into drafts this year, Godwin has an ADP of 75. Making him a projected eighth-round pick in 10-team leagues and a seventh-round pick in 12-team leagues.
Getting a receiver this late in the draft who has been as consistent as Godwin over the past five seasons is a big win for your fantasy team.
Diontae Johnson
Carolina’s addition of Diontae Johnson to the receiver room will pump life back into Johnson’s fantasy relevance. The Panthers invested tons of money into their offensive line this offseason to give Bryce Young time to throw the ball.
Johnson sits at an ADP of 95. Another number one guy you can steal in the ninth (12-team) or 10th round (10-team). He’s currently projected on Sleeper to finish as the WR40 with 78 catches, 817 yards, and 4 touchdowns. Having switched to a new team this offseason Johnson’s season should be better than projected.
In 2021, he finished as a top 10 receiver when he had 107 catches, 1161 yards, and 8 touchdowns. This season in Carolina, he has the possibility to climb back into at least the top 25. Johnson will be a reliable flex option this coming season each and every week.
Final Thoughts
These 3 players are very good options to round out your depth. With each having the possibility to see well over 100 targets, they are going to be flex-worthy plays every week! Don’t let your league mates snatch these three guys if you’re able to snatch them up around their ADP.
